After doing a lot of looking around for an underlayment AND moisture barrier for my engineered wood flooring I came across this in Home Depot. After seeing that it did everything I wanted in one product (instead of having to buy 2-3 separate things) I was skeptical but my interest was piqued. I came home and while doing some research found that it was even cheaper here on Amazon so decided to take the plunge. Turns out it was absolutely worth it. This stuff is dead simple to install and does help the floor sound great (there's none of that "empty" sound when I walk on it). I also did a quick, simple little moisture test of my own (poured some water on a spare piece to see what would come through) and found it worked quite well. My only complaint is that some of the little Styrofoam balls came out from between the two "sheets" which caused a tiny bit of extra cleanup but more importantly makes me wonder how this will hold up long term. Guess only time will tell for that one.

I bought this product because it's two products in one (moisture block and sound dampening), appeared to be easy to install, and (when purchased in the large roll) is cost effective. There were other brands and types of choices, but this seemed to be the best quality product I found and worth the extra cost over some of the rest. Some of the other products were the same or greater cost when you consider the cost of buying both moisture barrier AND sound dampening underlayment separately, not to mention the extra work of laying down two products rather than just one.
What can I say except that this product met all of my expectations. My wood laminate flooring feels solid and quiet to walk on. There is no hollow sound when I walk. I laid this underlayment over a concrete slab foundation following the simple instructions given. I used scissors and a razor blade for cutting (I found the single-edge razor blade easier to work with). It was easy to abut and seal adjacent rows. The seal tape was easy to peel back while pressing lightly and keeping abutments straight. I can't overemphasize how easy it was. I was concerned about being able to join rows without overlapping too much and accidentally creating ridges (double thicknesses). The design of the product makes it really easy to join rows and avoid too much overlap.
The instructions even tell you how to seal accidental (or intentional) cuts and tears. You just use the overlap material that has to be cut off the first row and any left over from other cuts. If I ever have to lay another laminate floor or an engineered wood floor, I'd choose this product. See uploaded pics from my project.

I love this product. I did purchase it here on Amazon and got the underlayment within 3 days after ordering it. I wonder though, did they manufacture this near some sort of lumber yard, because after laying it out, I walked on it barefoot and picked up about ten little splinters. They didn't hurt and they caused me no problems, just thought it was a bit odd. Great product and I will buy more of it if I ever lay down more laminate wood flooring.

Almost half the price of the same product at the big box store. No styrofoam balls noted during my installation. Floor is not totally soundproof but gives me piece of mind having a moisture barrier in the basement under my new laminate floors. Great product, even better price and fast shipping!
