Poor design for SafetyApr 29, 2010

This saw is an accident waiting to happen. If you tend to pick up the saw with the long handle chances are you are going to activate the switch, turning on the saw. This saw has some serious torque, which may direct it into your leg. Don't ask me how I know this. You MUST pick up the saw with both hands prior to turning it on to safely use it. The designers did not consider this factor and need to redesign this saw with a safety button that is depressed BEFORE you turn on the saw.
I'm a woodworker and carpenter and use many power tools daily. This is the first power tool that scared that crap out of me. I returned the saw with the justification that is just plain unsafe to use. I recommend that you find a jamb saw with safety features built into the tool.

guide falls apartAug 25, 2009

The saw is very powerful and cuts well until you have to replace the blade. The blade guard, however, is made of very soft metal and disintegrates after a short period of use. Hard to find parts: blades and guards, as replacements.
