Having just received the product today, I can say that it serves its purpose, although not well at all. First, like most mats, it comes folded inside the box, and took considerable time underneath phonebooks and other heavy items to flatten out. There are still a couple minor bumps that need to be flattened even after 2-3 hours of being underneath such pressure. I may try the hair dryer idea soon to take care of those. Also, the extended track for returning the ball doesn't work at all, as when the ball is sent down the track after a made putt, there isn't enough velocity to carry it down all the way. It works easier on a hardwood floor to remove the track completely and let the ball roll, but even then it usually doesn't make it back to the end of the mat. I'm not sure any other putting mat has managed to avoid these problems, though.
