It worksJul 16, 2010 Bought this based on others reviews for use on my daughter's designer white/yellow wool area carpet. Didn't want to use any detergents that left the emulsifier behind in the carpet to pick up more dirt. The first application got out about 70%, the next got out most of the rest. The stains are no longer visible. Vacuumed out of carpet thoroughly. Still have a fair amount remaining in the bottle.
capture is spot-on greatJun 24, 2010 I FOUND THAT CAPTURE WORKS GREAT TO REMOVE OILLY STAINS LIKE EVOO FROM MY CLOTHES THAT LAUNDRY SOAP CAN'T. IN THE PAST I WOULD HAVE THROWN THE CLOTHES AWAY. BUT NOW WITH CAPTURE JUST SPRINKLE ON AND BRUSH OFF. WORKS EVERYTIME. THANK YOU

Unbelievable!May 21, 2009 I wish I had before and after pictures. I had a giant pee area from an elderly dog with bad kidneys & my new Boston (notoriously hard to potty train). This stain even made it through a professional cleaning with ChemDry. It was about 3' X 4'... notice I said was. It just isn't there after 1 application of this miracle powder plus the Carpet Rake (look for it here on Amazon-- I paid about $5!) I purchased. Wow! Crappy beige rental carpet looks & feels fluffy & nice... no more sticky, stinky gross carpet.
I would not recommend using Capture on a dark carpet... also, I spent a great deal of time vacuuming afterward, to make sure I got it all up. A little elbow grease involved, but a fantastic product.

Great product for any type of carpet!Feb 21, 2008 Several years ago I purchased an Oriental rug. Not wanting to have to have a professional carpet cleaner come to the house every time that the rug got a spot on it, or needed to be cleaned, I thought that I would do some investigating. I just happen to be in one of the large department stores when I met the store's Oriental rug buyer. I asked him about products that could be used on the rug. Without hesitation, he said Capture. I have been using this for several years now, and not just on the Oriental rug. It works great on all carpeting.

It Really WorksAug 28, 2007 As a kid, I recall my cleaning obsessed (and rather German) mother using a variety of implements to assure clean carpets. She utilized steam vacuums, old world remedies, and Capture powder. Of those the Capture seemed to work best.
Flash forward to today, and while always being on the lookout I finally discovered it at Lowes (at a price higher than I see here). I took note of it, but held off on buying (more pressing needs than cleaning carpets), and I went back before my folks were coming to visit to help make the house a little nicer. I used the powder on beige carpet that's at least five years old, but owing to the fact that I let my guinea pigs run around on it, it definitely looked worse for wear. It looked that way despite using my Hoover Steamvac on it twice a year, but I decided to see what the magic powder can do. Well after vacuuming up the every day dirt and dust, I sprayed the carpet, scattered out the powder, and brushed it in. Then I waited 30 minutes, and a new carpet was before me. It totally changed the way the carpet looked, brightening it, eliminating a dull tint and a few spots that survived the best of everything else I ever threw at it. Yes it works, and to be honest, it's 100x times easier to use than anything else.
FYI, you'll likely need more powder than is called for. Oh, if you run out of spray, I believe it's just rubbing alcohol. I'd use that in a pinch.
